I’ll admit, I’ve used my bra as a pocket more than once. Sometimes life is just a whole lot easier without lugging around a big purse; and I’ve been known to stick keys, cash and whatever else I can cram in there down into my bra for the sake of leaving my handbag behind. The ladies at Flashbang took this to a whole new level! Of all the things I won’t leave home without, my gun takes top priority; and stashing it in a handbag is not an option for me. This makes carrying in the summer, when clothes get smaller and layers are unheard of, a unique and frustrating challenge. This season I want to post a series of my favorite solutions, and the perfect place to start is a holster that’s just for the ladies.

The best holster is one you will actually USE, and when the Texas summer turns up the heat I will not be using anything that adds noticeable bulk, period. Lumps and bumps and handle-shapes are much harder to conceal in shorts and tank top weather, so IWB holsters aren’t always practical for me. One place that lumps and bumps are acceptable is *inside your bra!!!!* The Flashbang utilizes the beauty of our God-given lumps and bumps to conceal the ones we don’t want anyone to see, and with surprising comfort once you install it properly. In these photos, I have the model for Sig Sauer’s P938 set on the second tightest notch of the medium length strap. That sounds like a mouthful (or maybe a bra-full… ) but for any ladies trying to figure this system out, as I did with little luck at first, I hope that information proves helpful.

The Flashbang comes in a variety of handgun molds that attach to the bra with adjustable leather straps. The product comes with three different lengths of beige straps, but accessory packs with cute colors can be bought separately. I personally found the beige to be more concealable and stuck with the original. The snaps are one-directional and difficult to remove once in place- which is a good thing. I played around with mine quite a bit before finding a position that was both comfortable and concealable. The straps can be loosened from the plastic mold, swiveled around and re-tightened to position the gun higher between the breasts or lower just underneath depending on comfort. I prefer mine higher up, as I feel my firearm is more “hidden” this way.
