Your child and the parent that is with your child must purchase an escort permit at the ticket counter in order to guide your child from or to the gate.
Only 2 adults and 2 minor child passengers are allowed to go past at the point of security.
You must arrive a minimum of 90 mins in advance to get your tickets to the escort.
If the escort card is not accessible (likely the case in Canada or Mexico or in airports where the security checkpoint is been shut) an agent of Alaska Airlines will meet you at the security checkpoint, and take your child to the gate.
The person who is the guardian of your child has to remain in the boarding area until the time your child’s flight is scheduled to depart.
The guardian responsible for picking up your child should be identified on the form for guardianship and must have an acceptable photo ID.
A form of contact for guardianship is required in the terminal.
If you will be meeting the child’s parents in a different city, you need to notify Alaska Airlines reservations at 1-800-252-7522 or +1-802-231-1806 (TTY 711: dial 711 for Relay Services) before your child’s flight takes off.
